What is Volunteer?

Volunteer is define by oxford dictionaries as a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task.  We, Beautiful Gate a volunteer meant a person who is willing to contribute his or her personal time and energy to help care and improve the lifes of the people with disabilities.

Why Volunteering?

Our aim in getting people to doing volunteering work is to enhance the knowledge, build confidence, and share experiences.  It would also strengthen the spirit and mutual understanding by learning between volunteers and with also engaging in those volunteer works.

Volunteering Heart

Being a volunteers need to promote harmonious coexistence, social progress, building a caring and responsibility community where they served.

In addition, volunteers help enrich life of the people we help by giving opportunities to learn using workshop or training programs.

何为志工？

志工是义务工作者的简称，为“志愿者”。英语为“Volunteers”。

是一个没有国界的名称，指的是自愿贡献个人的时间及精神，在不为任何物质回酬的情况下，为改进社会而提供服务的爱心人士。

志工的宗旨

乃建立志工之间的良好关系。彼此扶持、彼此勉励、彼此分享、彼此贡献、彼此学习、与彼此进步的精神。

志工的意义

乃促进社会各阶层的融洽相处，唤起社会人民对推动社会进步应肩负的责任，同时建立关怀互助、贡献及回馈社会的行动。

此外，皆帮助个人培养正确的价值观，拥有不同的学习机会以丰富的生活经验。

参与志工团队服务既是“助人”，亦是“自助”，既是“乐人”，同时也“乐己”。
